French Resources

A guide to finding resources (books, articles, government documents, etc.) in French.

French books in the catalogue

Most of the books in the Champlain Library catalogue are in English. However, you may be able to find some French books by selecting the “Keyword” or “Library catalog” option, and using French search terms.

Note that all books, no matter their language, are assigned English subject headings, so do not use French terms to do a “Subject" search.

You can also search our French collection by going to the Advanced Search page of the Library Catalogue and setting the Language Limit at the bottom of the page to “Language: Français (French)”.
